Freshfields Farm has been owned by the Foy family since 1976 although the Foy history of farming in the area actually extends back four generations.
Originally Freshfields was as it is now, a livestock farm, although many of you may remember enjoying summer days in our strawberry fields us in the years when we focussed our attention on pick your own fruit and vegetables.
Although we no longer offer the opportunity toí pick your owní the Farm shop we started at that time continues to sell a variety of carefully chosen food and delicacies, many from local sources.
We have always kept horses on the farm and over the years this has led us towards the establishment of an important aspect of our business geared towards the requirements of the owners of equines and an increasing variety of farmyard animals and pets.
We are assisted in our endeavours on the farm and in the farm shop by our friendly helpful staff, all of whom have been with us on the farm for more years than they care to remember!
The land on the home farm and associated rented acreage in the surrounding area is presently completely laid to grass with the emphasis on high quality specialist grasses for our hay and haylage production (to accommodate very discerning equine appetites!) and grazing for our ever increasing flock of xxxx
